ATMAPI Unveils Plan to Launch Road Accident Prevention Campaign in Oyo State, Eyes Recruitment of 500 Field Personnel

The Authentic Traffic Management and Accident Prevention Initiatives (ATMAPI) has announced its upcoming plan to roll out a comprehensive Road Accident Prevention Campaign in Oyo State as part of its expanding mission to improve traffic discipline, reduce road crashes, and enhance community safety across Nigeria.

As part of the initiative, ATMAPI is preparing to recruit and screen over 500 Field Operation Personnel (FOPs) who will undergo specialized training and later be deployed to high-traffic zones, rural communities, and educational institutions within the state.

Speaking on the proposed campaign, Executive Director Idoga Innocent shared:

“We are currently finalizing plans to bring our proven road safety model to Oyo State. With this campaign, we aim to increase public awareness, train professionals, and prevent avoidable road mishaps.”

The campaign, expected to commence in the coming months, will focus on:

  • Community sensitization on road safety

  • First aid and emergency preparedness education

  • Clean-up and decongestion of road corridors

  • Traffic compliance advocacy for commercial drivers and pedestrians

The recruitment of new FOPs will form a core part of this expansion, offering qualified Nigerians an opportunity to contribute to national safety while gaining structured employment and career advancement.

ATMAPI will soon announce official application dates and venues for screening. Interested individuals are encouraged to stay updated through the organization’s website and social media channels.

This planned campaign marks another major step in ATMAPI’s goal to create accident-free roads and responsible road users across Nigeria’s six geo-political zones.
