ATMAPI Plans to Deploys over 18,000 New Field Operation Personnel Across Nigeria’s Geo-Political Zones

In a bold and strategic effort to strengthen national road safety and emergency response, the Authentic Traffic Management and Accident Prevention Initiatives (ATMAPI) has officially deployed 1,000 newly recruited Field Operation Personnel (FOP) across Nigeria’s six geo-political zones.

The personnel, selected after a rigorous screening process, underwent intensive training in traffic management, emergency response, environmental hygiene, first aid, and community engagement. These dedicated officers are tasked with enforcing traffic discipline, educating road users, supporting environmental sanitation campaigns, and providing immediate assistance in emergency situations.

According to the Executive Director of ATMAPI, Idoga Innocent, the deployment marks a significant milestone in the organization’s vision to build safer, cleaner, and more disciplined road environments across Nigeria. “This is not just a deployment, it is a nationwide impact strategy. These personnel will serve as the face of discipline, order, and quick response across our roads and communities,” he stated during the induction ceremony in Abuja.

Each officer was presented with official field kits, uniforms, and identification badges, and was assigned to communities based on high-priority traffic and safety needs. The deployment spans both urban centers and rural areas with identified gaps in road management and safety interventions.

ATMAPI’s Field Operation Personnel are expected to work in collaboration with local authorities, traffic agencies, and community leaders, creating a robust grassroots framework for accident prevention, behavioral change, and security support.

This initiative is part of ATMAPI’s ongoing commitment to reduce traffic-related incidents, promote public order, and offer meaningful employment opportunities to Nigerian youths.

“We are not only transforming roads, we are empowering lives, building careers, and contributing to a safer Nigeria,” the Director concluded.
